One Point Perspective Project

We just wrapped up a drawing boot camp.  I decided to use one point perspective as the culminating project.

Contour Drawing

As a part of our drawing boot camp, we are working on becoming better at drawing from observation.  This contour triptych is doing the trick!  Students completed three sketches each using blind contour, modified contour, and cross contour techniques.  They then chose the best sketches to use as the basis for their final panels.  This exercise helped students to draw what they see, not what they think they see!

Watercolor Gesture Drawing

We are in the middle of what I consider a drawing boot camp. To spice things up, I had the students create their gesture drawings on top of a watercolor wash. They turned out great!

Mandala Project

Well, I finished my first project! I will write a more detailed post later and share the lesson plan and Power Point, but I am so excited that I just want to get some pics up now!
